9 Days Alone in the Desert

My friend Oli Gardner spent 9 days alone in the desert in Southern Utah and Northern Arizona. He's a photographer - and the shots that he came out with are stunning, to say the least.
The precision of the patterns that are found in nature seem to be most striking in either very small or very large scale - in this case the striations in rock are equally as impressive as a close-up on a desert plant. A lot of the photos remind me of Jared Tarbell's generative pieces - perhaps because Jared uses pallettes from the landscape around his New Mexico studios in a lot of his work.
Check out the photos, and be prepared to be inspired.
